Winter in Gdynia, Poland. This is the hometown of Kasia, a defiant teenager: precocious, intrepid and conceited. When Kasia was three, her parents left Poland without her, hoping to find a better life in Germany. They never returned and Kasia grew up with her grandmother. When her grandma passes on, Kasia has nobody left. And to make matters worse, she finds out she is pregnant. She makes a decision: She will look for her biological parents, to demand the money from them that she feels is hers by right.
